These Terms of Service govern your use of Renovator.kiwi (the "Platform"), a New Zealand marketplace connecting homeowners, landlords, and small businesses with qualified, local tradespeople. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About the Platform
Renovator.kiwi is a marketplace that connects customers with tradespeople. As a marketplace platform, Renovator.kiwi does not itself provide trade services, does not take a commission on any job, and does not mark up pricing. All communication and quoting happens directly between the customer and the tradesperson.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older to use the Platform. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when registering as a customer or as a tradesperson.
3. Registration Fees
Customers pay a one-time fee to post a job. Tradespeople pay an annual fee to register and maintain a profile. All fees are paid via Stripe. Renewal of a tradesperson profile is required annually to keep it active.
4. Your Responsibilities
You agree to use the Platform lawfully and not to use it to misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or registration. Tradespeople must hold any qualifications or licences required for the trades they offer. Customers must provide accurate details of the work required.
5. No Commission or Markup
Renovator.kiwi does not take a commission or cut of any job and does not set or mark up pricing between customers and tradespeople.
6. Content and Conduct
You are solely responsible for the content you post, including job listings and profile details. You agree not to post misleading, unlawful, or offensive content.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, Renovator.kiwi is not liable for any disputes, losses, or damages arising from arrangements between customers and tradespeople arranged through the Platform. You are encouraged to obtain multiple quotes and verify a tradesperson's qualifications before hiring.
